Rob Neale

Rob Neale is a Senior Consultant with Sea-Change Partners, where he leads Sea-Change’s practice area in Crisis Communications. He is also Managing Director of Neale Consultants Ltd. Rob is a specialist communications skills coach with extensive international practice from New Zealand and Australia in the South, to Europe in the North but with the biggest hub of activity in South East Asia.

Rob specializes in media skills training and coaching; including crisis and leadership communication, media crisis rehearsal and capability tests, and a portfolio of activities from communications strategy counseling, to video production, to hosting discussion forums.

Rob consults regularly with pre-eminent global brands in banking, finance and investment, manufacturing, infrastructure development, aviation, primary production, insurance, business consulting, and IT. In the public sector, he works with a range of government ministries, regulatory authorities, statutory boards, and academic and research institutions.

Rob served as a senior public relations consultant with an agency in Singapore with primary responsibility for advising the multi-channel, multi-language state-owned broadcaster, SBC.

Prior to that, Rob was a radio and television news and current affairs anchor, interviewer, reporter and producer, primarily in New Zealand, specialising in economics, business, and politics. He has extensive experience reporting on crisis situations; including physical, financial, and political crises. Rob’s television experience included an attachment to the BBC’s “Money” program, as a reporter.

Rob has a BA and post-graduate diploma in Political Studies and an Llb from the University of Otago, in New Zealand.
